EVENT:
The George Washington University and the Allied Command Transformation are holding the first Model NATO Summit on Monday, July 8, 2024. The summit aims to offer selected students and young professionals the opportunity to experience the workings and decision-making process of NATO.
Participants will prepare for and participate in a dynamic simulation of NATO’s principal political decision-making body, the North Atlantic Council. In total, 32 students and young professionals from Allied Nations will participate in the summit and each participant will act as the Head of State and Government of their respective nation.
This year, NATO is celebrating 75 years of the military alliance. The summit also aligns with NATO’s 2024 Communication Strategy to enhance engagement and outreach with young people between the ages of 18-34.
