EVENT:
White House Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossert will deliver remarks at a George Washington University cybersecurity conference. GW’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security will sponsor the conference, titled “U.S. Cyber Policy: Today's Challenges, Tomorrow's Solutions,” with support from Northrop Grumman. George Barnes, deputy director of the National Security Agency, and Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas, will also deliver keynote addresses.
The conference will focus on high-priority cybersecurity policy issues facing the U.S. government and the private sector, including the objectives of the May 2017 executive order on cybersecurity, cyberdeterrence and defense doctrine and the current state of nation-state and nonstate cyber threats to U.S. national security and economic interests. The event will feature two expert panel discussions on deterrence and preventing attacks and public-private innovation and collaboration.
