Millions of Americans will soon be hitting the road for the holidays. According to AAA, nearly 113 million people will travel from December 23rd to January 2nd, an increase of 3.6 million people over last year. AAA expects it to be the third busiest year for holiday travel since the company started tracking trends in 2000.
If you would like more context on this matter, please consider Larry Yu, professor of hospitality management at the George Washington University. Professor Yu’s current research focuses on hotel market analysis, tourism product value chain analysis, tourist satisfaction and hospitality crisis management. Yu has been following the latest travel trends and can speak to travel demand and expectations throughout the remainder of the holiday season.
