WASHINGTON (January 31, 2023)—The U.S. government announced it will reinstate some sanctions against Venezuela. The news comes from the State Department after Venezuelan President Nicolás Madura and his administration arrested members of the democratic opposition and preformed inconsistencies with the Elections Reform Agreement signed last October.
