Boeing’s CEO and two other top executives are stepping down amid growing safety concerns around a number of quality control issues that have come to light since a piece of an Alaska Airlines plane fell off mid flight in January. CEO Dave Calhoun will leave at the end of 2024.

Jungho Suh, a teaching assistant professor of management, is an expert in service management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, entrepreneurship, human resource issues in the service industry, sustainability & ESG reporting in the travel industry, digital platforms in tourism & hospitality, and gastronomy tourism. Suh has taught a similar case study in his past classes when the Boeing 737 "Max 8, " a different fleet," was grounded. He has also designed and delivered hundreds of executive programs for firms like Nestle, UBS, Conoco-Phillips, and Goldman Sachs, as well as several major law firms and the U.S. Congress.

Lawrence (Larry) Parnell is an associate professor and director of the award-winning Strategic Public Relations program at The Graduate School of Political Management. Over a 30-year career, Parnell has held senior communications positions in consulting, on the client side and in politics. He is a frequent author and speaker on communications topics and a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). With a background and expertise in crisis work, Parnell can discuss how such situations impact trust between the government and the public as well as the overall handling of Boeing’s crisis response.
