A move that is alarming environmentalists claiming the change “would lead to the extinction of critically endangered species because of logging, mining, development and other activities,” according to The Associated Press.

Kathy Hessler, assistant dean for animal law at GW Law. Hessler has been teaching animal law for over two decades and serves as the inaugural dean for Animal Legal Education at the George Washington University Law School.
