WASHINGTON (June 22, 2023) The names of the individuals that guaranteed George Santos (R-NY) half a million-dollar ($500,000.00) bond, along with other sealed documents from his court case will be released Thursday, June 22, 2023 as ordered by federal Judge Joanna Seybert. George Santos pleaded not guilty to a 13 count indictment accusing him of fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds. Santos is a first-term congressman and has expressed the preference to go to jail, rather than release the names of the bail backers to the public.
