WASHINGTON (September 22, 2023)—On Friday, New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez and his wife were indicted on bribery charges—and not for the first time. Menendez was charged back in 2015. This time around, the senator (who is up for reelection) was accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes including cash, home mortgage payments, a luxury vehicle and influence for “low-or-no-show jobs”.
