Pets and animals are impacted by natural disasters, as well. The summer of 2023 has come with a news cycle of wildfires, warming waters, rising temps and more. The District of Columbia is under attack for pets killed during a flood according to The Washington Post. With hurricane season approaching, there’s likely to be similar stories.
