WASHINGTON (June 21, 2025)- The Washington Post reported that “a son of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro is working closely with the White House to impose sanctions on a Brazilian Supreme Court justice set to preside over his father’s upcoming trial on charges of leading an attempted coup.”
The sanctions could further escalate a diplomatic feud between the U.S. and Brazil after Trump proposed a 50% tariff on Brazil.
